our history
The purpose of the Citizens Police Academy Alumni of North Texas (CPAANT) is to enhance the relationship between the citizen police academy alumni association and their respective police departments. CPAANT is comprised of volunteers who are dedicated to community involvement and helping to make their city and the North Texas region a better, safer place to live.

In September 1995, representatives from 15 CPAAA organizations met at the Dallas Police Academy. The meeting was hosted by the Dallas CPAAA and the Duncanville CPAAAA. The purpose was to form a North Texas regional CPAAA group. At the second meeting, hosted by the Arlington CPAAAA, the Citizen Police Academy Alumni of North Texas was formed including an executive board, directors and bylaws.
